FEM Shot (Female Erogenous Maintenance Shot)
What is the FEM Shot?
The FEM Shot is a non-invasive treatment that uses PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections around the clitoris and vaginal wall, which can result in increased sensitivity, improved lubrication, and greater control of urinary function.
What does the FEM Shot treat?
Decreased sexual pleasure for a woman can stem from many issues, including poor lubrication leading to painful intercourse, the vaginal canal being too loose providing less sensation or too tight which is uncomfortable, and difficulty or inability even achieving an orgasm. These issues over time can decrease sex drive and can greatly affect a woman’s self-esteem and result in significant stress due to lack of intimacy between partners.
The primary focus of the FEM Shot is to help restore sexual satisfaction, lubrication, tightness along with helping to improve urinary incontinence, which can often occur as a result of menopause or childbirth.
How does the FEM Shot work?
The FEM Shot works by injecting PRP into the area around the clitoris and vaginal wall. The growth factors & proteins released by the PRP in turn activate stems cells and stimulate cellular repair and regeneration of the vagina. In addition, collagen production and the formation of new blood vessels occur and further aids in tissue repair, improving sensitivity, lubrication, and can even lead to more vaginal orgasms!
The FEM Shot may be followed by a FEM Wave session in order to spread the benefits around the vagina and improve the efficacy of the treatment.
To further enhance the treatment, patients can elect to use other Regenerative Biologics at an additional cost.
What are some of the benefits of the FEM Shot?
There are many benefits to the FEM Shot, but the typical benefits include:
- Restores vaginal lubrication
- Tightens the inner vaginal canal (if too loose prior)
- Increases elasticity of the vaginal canal (if too tight prior)
- Reduces sexual pain and discomfort
- Improves control, decreasing the systems of urinary incontinence
- Restores sexual pleasure and can lead to more vaginal orgasms
Is the FEM Shot painful?
Patients are given a topical anesthetic which is applied to the vagina, resulting in minimal discomfort.
